YIN YOGA & CHAKRA YOGA

At Transform to Bliss, we offer practices, classes & workshops to bring you to your center, to your born state of 'Bliss', Ananda.

Yin yoga works deeply into all layers of our body with passive, longer-held and often restorative postures closer to the earth. It targets the deepest tissues of the body, our connective tissues – ligaments, joints, bones, the deep fascia networks of the body, as well as gives a still platform to watch the narratives of mind play out.  Practitioners often experience moments of deep insight, and emotional release, ease full surrender. Soft, gentle and calm, (on a physical note) the practice of yin yoga serves as a contrast to the frantic yang world we occupy.

 

Benefits of a regular Yin Yoga practice include:

Chakra Flow is a multidimensional practice incorporating somatic movement, conscious breath work, and various meditation techniques with an undercurrent of Vinyasa Flow, (a dynamic practice with breath initiated movement).

The topic of each practice is centralized on building a conscious relationship with each of the  7 predominant Chakras, or energy centers, of the body. 

This colourful practice takes you on an introspective adventure, studying the suite nuances of the inner self. Accessible for all levels of practitioner with a keenness to learn more about the inner workings of the energetic body and its integration in both the spiritual and manifest realms.

Meet Tyke

Tyke harbours an expansive environment for intuitive and comprehensive learning with a focus on intention integration. 

He facilitates a progressive learning space that provides multifaceted guidance with access points ranging from esoteric to deeply visceral and physical for all archetypes and their receptive modalities. 

He co-creates a platform that delves deeply into introspection and self evaluation providing an outlet for personal transmission.

He began under the tutelage of James Tennant and Jim Bennitt at The Tejas Studio in Chicago.

The Tejas TTC and Mentorship program is a one-year immersion designed to establish a comprehensive foundation in yoga, Ayurveda, and tantra.  

Tyke then continued to complete his 500 hr TTC program at Kranti Yoga in Goa, India.

The program allowed him to build on his existing knowledge and bring a new perspective based on Ashtanga Yoga and Vinyasa Flow.  

He completed the 200 hr TTC and progressed to complete the 300 hr TTC courses in Yin Yoga and Vinyasa Flow.

After teaching across Europe for many years, he now hosts and curates his own retreats and teacher trainings in southern Portugal, and Goa, India.
